After a series of social media posts suggesting it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. Carbon fiber was 3D printed for the base of every Space Key. Each Space Key is connected to a unique, digital image via an QR code. Only five Space Keys were produced.

Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material. It was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved with a QR code that links to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera with an lens to take individual images, which were then added to the final picture. The result is an amazing out of the world image that reveals the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic view of the car erupting from it. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there is no exact date or location yet.
