After a series of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally revealed its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. It's called Space Key and created in collaboration with an undisclosed artist the project is made up of an advanced carbon fiber composite material that was sent to the International Space Station for research purposes.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of carbon-fired composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station as part of a research project in 2019. Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera to capture each of the individual images, that were then merged to create the final image. The result is a photo that is out of this world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic image of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, however the exact date and location of the auction haven't yet been revealed yet.
